Introduction drs. Hermine Mensink

I am the host of the upcoming International Dream Conference in Amsterdam in July,2011. Since 1994, I have been a member of the international dream organization and was an active member on the Board from 2006 to 2009. Strephon Kaplan Williams, was my teacher for several years. He invited me to the first Dream Conference in the Netherlands in 1994 and so far, I have attended and assisted with 14 conferences.

Since 1986, I have been working as a family therapist and I am a licensed Psychotherapist in the Netherlands. For many years, I worked in different Mental Health Institutes and I have also had my own private practice since 1985 where I teach Dream groups and Mindfulness groups.

My passion for dreams began when I was seven years old and I have been recording and working with my dreams since 1964. In 1985 I developed my dreamwork further with the Psychosynthesis approach and consequently I worked for the next 10 years with the Voice Dialogue Organization, working as a teacher of Voice Dialogue in France.
In 2002, I started incorporating family constellations in my work and after some years of education in systemic work in the Netherlands and Germany, I have developed Dream constellations and use these in the early morning conference groups.

In July, 2007, Joke Wijnen and I gave two lectures on children’s dreams and their dream trees in Sonoma, California. We did another lecture on Precognitive dreaming based on dream research on precognitive dreams. See www.dreamresearch.nl .
